Flathead Lake | Part 1
I decided to break up this post given the number of photos I wanted to share with you guys! So first thing is first - if you haven't checked out my YouTube channel do so! It's so much fun to make these videos for you guys! I created one on the lake and I really think the pictures don't do the epic crashes justice. If you like it make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel because I am going to be creating a lot more content in the future!
Where: Polson, Montana (+Missoula)
When: July 2018
One of my good friend's parents live in Polson, Montana. Every year in school we would head to the lake the first long weekend when school started - I believe we went back for a week then had a 3 day weekend due to Labor Day. Driving from Bozeman to Polson is quite a long drive so I broke it up. I drove to Butte and stayed with my grandma. The next day I drove to Polson but not without stopping at one of my favorite breweries - Kettlehouse. I love Kettlehouse (the Northside one) because it's built over the railroad tracks and it has a great patio.
The first night I arrived and we all jumped in the boat. A few of us braved the windy water and tried our hands at wake boarding. I was officially given the task of flag girl. Three of our other friends joined us for a total of 5 kids and 2 adults. I was asked for the privacy of some of my friends to be maintained hence the nonspecific details! I am trying my hand to be as respectful and legal as possible with blogging - who knew there would be so many things to worry about!?
It was really hard to get up on the wake board. Of the 4 that tried only 2 got up and only 1 was able to get up more than once! As much fun as it is to wake board I love the photos of them wiping out! My friend's boyfriend also has the perfect mustache!
Some of my best days of my entire life have been spent on the lake. Something about being on the boat, something about being on the water, washes away the stresses of life. I am able to live in the moment and enjoy life just as is. I am not sure where my life will lead me but when I get settled I would very much like to live near water or at least have a little cabin near water that I can visit on the weekends.
