Sunday my parents and I decided to take the dogs and go for a drive. To be honest, given the weather, there aren't many photo-friendly areas around here right now. We decided to go to Three Forks and walk the dogs on the new Headwaters Trail System. The photos turned out quite fun given the gloomy day. Thank goodness for Lightroom presets! ;)
There is plenty of parking right of exit 90. I tried to place the red dot on the most accurate location!
The hike is easy. The road is cemented and flat. It crosses over the frontage road and runs along the river. I read somewhere that there are about 20 miles worth of trail in the area. As seen below, a bunch of birds made nests under the highway. It felt very concret jungle, man vs nature, walking under the noisy bridge.
Across from the rail, a little ways down the road are a view look out points. They are extremely easy to hike to and as you can see offer a wonderful view. I've realized I need to wear brighter clothes for these photos!
