Christmas in Carson City

On the 9th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me 9 ladies dancing... or really, 2 kids ice-skating. ;) I went to Carson City, Nevada, the capital of Nevada the other night and snapped some fun holiday photos. I love all the Christmas decor and lights.

This store was really random. If you look closely there is actually Halloween and Christmas decor in the window. I didn't realize it at the time but the place was actually a hookah-bar. I don't really know much about hookah so you'll have to Google it if you're curious.

This is {The Firkin & Fox} a pub that looks really awesome. I was going to go inside and have a drink but it was packed and I wasn't feeling very social. As a woman, if you go and sit at a crowded bar alone, you usually get talked to. The last guy to ask me out was closer in age to my mom than me and I'm not really fond of telling people no. I don't want to hurt their feelings and I think it's brave to ask a girl out, but sometimes their idea of reality is just not on par...

I thought this front stoop reminded me of Europe and I've been watching a lot of Europe Blogmas videos (Saccone-Jolys, Zoella, Pointless Blog) so for me right now, Europe = Christmas!

They set up an ice skating rink near one of the casinos. I love the way the light reflects off the ice. I wish I could have gone ice skating... Actually I really wish I had a man in my life for some of this stuff. Ninety-nine.nine percent of the time, I am okay with being single. But I watched some Vlogs and I've seen all these cute couple advent calendars and ice skating videos. Christmas for me also means romance and I would to be able to share these experiences with someone. BUT I am picky and feel like I deserve an awesome guy, so I will remain single until I meet him, and in the meantime, I will continue to do all these activities alone or with friends! I was asked to go ice skating last Sunday but I worked (so sad!). But I do have plans for the next few Fridays - dinner and movie one night and the medical-surgical Christmas party the next! I'm happy people are reaching out and I am reaching out too so I can stay busy. I notice on my days off if I don't do anything, I get really restless!
