Adorable Bakeware for Fall
Today is my Free For All Thursday so I thought I would post a belated fall haul - see what I did there? One of my favorite things about fall is baking.
I bought some adorable fall cupcake liners, leaf sprinkles, and a leaf cookie cutter. It's been such a long time since I've made sugar cookies the "right way", aka from scratch - I have the most amazing recipe - and with royal icing. I think I may make some for Thanksgiving. I work Thanksgiving day/weekend so I am going to a co-worker's house for dinner, as I will not be able to make it home! I cannot wait though because she and her husband are so fun to be around.
I'm obsessed with this pie pan. I also bought 4 small plates that have the same pattern. I recently made a pumpkin cheesecake for my co-workers that I did not have time to photograph. I will just have to make another! Pumpkin cheesecake is now a staple of our Thanksgiving dinner - so much more amazing than buying a pumpkin pie AND a cheesecake. PS have you ever thought about the origin of things? Who decided to put cream cheese in a pie?! Someone way more creative than me... but I'm glad they did!
Unfortunately I was just not feeling Halloween this year. I think it may have been due to the fact that I worked A LOT in October and it stays warmer longer here in Boise. I'm used to it being colder and the leaves changing earlier. Honestly it still doesn't really even feel like fall to me... it snowed 6 inches in Montana Monday so the 60 degree weather here is throwing me all off. BUT I'm so excited for Christmas! I think the light, white bright colors of Christmas are really calling me this year. I cannot wait to decorate my apartment!
