My Favorite Drug Store Lipsticks

Today I thought I would feature my MUCH requested lipsticks! Here are some of my favorites! All of these lipsticks can be purchased at drug stores... i.e. they are all under $10!! I like myself so much better with a little lip color so I've really been trying to incorporate these into my life more!

Picking out the right lipstick shade is so hard! Especially if you have blonde hair, blue eyes, or, more importantly, fair skin like me! Hopefully this can serve as your buying guide! I've searched the internet high and low trying to find the right shades.

There is nothing worse than buying a cute shade only to take it home and find out it doesn't look good on you! I've given my mom sooo many lipsticks over the years. She has olive skin so some of the darker shades that I loved are now hers! I don't know why, but for so many years I resisted light pink shades. They are now my mainstay because they go best with my fair skin and light hair!

{Airy Fairy} | Rimmel London

This is by far my go to/favorite lipstick of all time. I first heard about it through {Anna Saccone-Joly}; my first lipstick purchase in a long time last year! She calls this color a nude but I think of nude as being more skin toned. This lipstick is nice and creamy. It's easy to put on. It's not per say "moisturizing" but my lips don't feel dry while or after wearing it. You can layer a lip balm over or under it if you do have dry lips. Airy Fairy such a great color for blondes; I would say it's a must have!

{Pink In the Afternoon} | Revlon

This color is darker than some of the other more neutral pinks that I wear. It's definitely a very bright "in your face" pink. It does look good on though, and it stays on for a long time. I can't find this exact shade online at Ulta -> ps this {} means I linked something, but I'm sure you could find it online or even in store. I bought 2 new lipsticks this last week (so hopefully you will be able to find them easier!) that I plan on showcasing in a beauty haul here soon too!

{To Nude or Not to Nude?} | Rimmel London

A mix between the two above, this shade has a little sparkle to it. It goes great for special occasions such as date night, where shimmer might be more appropriate. I can't find this exact shade online at Ulta either but they have a To Nude or Not which I assume is similar.

{Pink Diamond} | Pur

This shade is great, but I tried it on the other day and it's a little too shimmery for me. It almost has a silver overtone; reminds me too much of the 90s, ha! I don't think I'm actually going to keep this lipstick for that much longer... that or I will throw it in my bin of makeup I don't use a lot but don't have the heart to get rid of. I know you all have one of those ;)

{Spellbound} | CoverGirl

I saw this lipstick in a magazine ad and instantly knew I had to have it; I went and bought it that same day! It's a very, very bright pink so you really have to work at pulling this off. I wouldn't recommend it with a lot of makeup or crazy clothes. I've found it's best, if you want to do a statement piece, that you play down everything else you are wearing... So minimal makeup, neutral colors, etc. The one downside to this lipstick is that it's pretty drying.

I plan on also posting my favorite high end lipsticks, my favorite lip glosses, and all of these lipsticks on me, so you can see what they look like on! I also have a fall makeup, a beauty haul, and a lush post coming soon! Something about fall just makes me want to blog like crazy! ;)

P.S. I was not paid or given any type of free product for my thoughts! These opinions are all my own and I hope they help you!

P.S.S. Let me know your thoughts on me doing a vlog on this! I've been throwing around the idea . . .
