Decorating a Weird Shaped Dining Room

Here are some pictures of my dining room! I have a small wall between my kitchen and patio door where I placed a dry erase calendar. It's so nice to have it right there so I can know what's coming up ... and so I don't forget anything! ;)

I am seriously in love with my dining room. I bought my kitchen table off Craigslist for $80, I think. It's a high top table. I decorated my walls with decor I've had for years (seriously about 5 or more years). On the table, I have a candle from unknown and a fake flower and pot from Target. I soon hope to decorate the table with some fall/Halloween decor. It stays warmer here longer therefore it's not quite fall yet. Even though it's almost October, I'm not feeling the "fall" vibes. I'm sad to see summer (aka the heat go) but fall is my favorite time of the year so I'm always excited for it!

As I've said before, I am in love with gray, white, blue, and yellow. That's the theme of my whole house. I'm doing darker furniture in the kitchen, dining room, and living room, and white furniture in the bedrooms and bathrooms. That's just how it ended up going when I found furniture and now I'm running with it. My original goal was to have white furniture throughout but I think this works well.

I love the design on this mirror. I've heard, or read, that mirrors make rooms feel bigger so I try to incorporate them as much as I can. Plus then I can check myself in any room ;) haha

The first picture below I took with the light in the background, the second with the light behind me. I can't decide which I like better, and I am posting them both to show you what a difference lighting makes! I definitely need to post my photography tips here soon because I feel like I've learned A LOT in my year blogging!
