Happy 4th of July! Today I wanted to share the recipe for these amazing S'more Bars! I brought them to a BBQ and they were gone before I even had a piece. I did snack while making them though and they were soooo good!
I thought they would be a great recipe to share for summer!
3 tablespoons butter
5 cups mini marshmallows, divided
One 10 oz. bag is enough!
6 - 7 cups Graham cereal pieces
1 box of cereal is enough
3 - 1.55 oz. Hershey's® chocolate bars (I broke them into 4th, more or less)
Coat a 9" x 13" pan with cooking spray. If you have a bigger or smaller pan, your squares will be thinner or thicker!
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add 4 cups of the mini marshmallows and stir until they are completely melted.
**Note: The next steps need to be done quickly so read through them completely before you start!!!
Take the mixture off the stove and add in the cereal. Add in the extra cup of mini marshmallows.
Pour half the mixture into the pan and press it down. Top this half with half of the chocolate. Pour the rest of the mixture on top of the chocolate and press down. Then add the rest of the chocolate.
The bars take several hours to set up. You can place them in the refrigerator for about an hour to speed up the process.
Remove from pan and cut into bars.
